FixOutlook.org Launches Twitter Campaign to Advocate for Change

FixOutlook.org is using Twitter to build an online petition to advocate for changes to Microsoft's e-mail product, Outlook.

The interface pulls in user profile images of any users who have have tweeted about the issue and pulls these across the screen providing a compeling visual "wall" of support. It also keeps a real-time counter of the number of people that have tweeted.

Mark Logic User Conference 2009

I'm at the Mark Logic 2009 User Conference in San Francisco.  For those not familar with the company, Mark Logic provides a software platform that combines an XML database, search engine, and application server.  It is a powerful, and exteremly fast, platform for building content rich applications that combine  structured and unstructured data into a single user experience.

Congratulations to OHO client Massachusetts General Hospital for being a 2009 Webby Award Honoree.  Micro site Addiction Answers won the Webby Award in the Health Category.  Addiction Answers was created by MGH, cause media, and OHO Interactive to support The Addiction Recovery Management Service (ARMS) at MGH which specializes in supporting teenagers and young adults between the ages of 15 and 25, and their families, as they deal with their substance-related problems.

Sports Stars Use Twitter to Connect to Fans

Sports stars and coaches including Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong and basketball player Shaquille O'Neal have been among a set of athletes using the micro-blogging, social networking web application Twitter to connect with fans and even give away tickets.
Boston.com reports a recent Twitter post from Shaquille O'Neal:
"I have one ticket left at will call under twitter, first one there its yurs just say twitter" - March 25, 5:08 p.m.

MIT Media Lab Selects OHO for Scratch-Ed Web Project

The Scratch project at the MIT Media Lab has selected OHO to develop a new community web site for educators. Scratch is a new programming language that enables people to easily construct a wide variety of interactive projects. These projects can be shared on the Scratch site. It is focused on helping young people age 8 and up develop mathematical, computational, reasoning and problem solving skills.
