Boston Society for Architects Launches New Association Site

Boston Society for Architects (BSA) launched the completely revamped website this evening. The site was developed by Design&Co and OHO Interactive. The site is built upon Acquia Drupal and includes integration with the association management tool produced by ACGI.

The Actors Fund Selects Drupal over Plone ...

The Actors Fund – a human services organization in New York and LA serving the entertainment industry – has engaged OHO Interactive to migrate their existing website from Plone CMS to Acquia Drupal. The site will also integrate with the Blackbaud suite of products including Raiser's Edge, Patron's Edge, and Patron's Edge online.

World Wildlife Fund Project Highlighted in "Nature"

Our project with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to develop a mapping application for use in developing countries was highlighted by the science journal Nature.

The site will allow users to create spatial data and records for development projects. The site will have a strong community component that will allow users to collaborate and refine the data. The site will be built using Acquia Drupal and the Google Maps API 3. It is expected to launch in late spring 2010.


Curators and Educators Should Push Social Media

I was chatting with a curator and an director of education from a museum recently, and we got into a lively discussion about social media.

I had a moment of clarity – these are the people that should be writing on Facebook and Twitter. The curator has the passion about the subject your audience cares about. Why not give them access? Curators can seed the conversation by seeking out rare artifacts or interesting stories from the collection. This content will drive audience interest and brings the collection of a museum online.


Museums Gather to Discuss Social Media at NEMA

OHO to Present at New England Museum Association Conference

Chief Creative Officer and Managing Director Jason Smith has been invited to speak at the 2009 New England Museum Association Conference.

His topic will be: "Web 2.0: You've Lost Control of Your Internet Marketing."

The session will briefly introduce the concept of Web 2.0 – that is, the cultural shift towards user-created and highly-personalized content – and then dive into exploring how to best use Web 2.0 applications such as YouTube, Flickr, and FaceBook to build relationships and promote your organization.
