Congratulations to Stony Brook University on the launch of their new capital campaign website!
Part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, Stony Brook University required a digital component to support their $600 million capital campaign. In concert with the launch of the public phase of the capital campaign, the University revealed its new branding platform designed by our strategy and creative partner SimpsonScarborough. The WordPress website represented the first digital expression of this new look and messaging which was developed over the past year.
The capital campaign site was developed on an aggressive timeline to coordinate with a gala event. This included the digital expression of the brand, as well as the tone, voice, and language used on the site. By partnering with a steering committee of vice presidents from various areas of the university, we built both consensus and a vision for the site that was successfully carried out in partnership with internal terms managing day-to-day processes.
Together with the creative team from SimpsonScarborough, we helped Stony Brook University meet their goal of providing a digital presence for the capital campaign that enriches the donor experience, engagement, and donations by:
- Concepting, designing, developing, and launching the responsive website
- Creating a “Stories” section on the site to highlight campaign donors and the impact of their gifts
- Showcasing the campaign’s wide-reaching initiatives and fundraising goals on prominent pages across the site
- To inspire donors, SimpsonScarborough's creative team scripted, directed and produced a stunning video that was used at the gala event and on the homepage of the campaign website.
