The creators of Zipcar needed a website technology to make their idea happen. That's where OHO came in. When the company's founders came to us in 2000, seeking a technology platform for members to manage their accounts, and make and check reservations online. OHO created a way forward for them.
Our technology is now used by tens of thousands of Zipcar members in multiple cities across the nation. We've made it a cinch for members to go online and find the car they want to use. They then take their customized RFID tag—similar to those used by FastLane mobile speed passes—swipe it at their car, and are identified by the system. In an instant, their reservation is verified, and they can speed off into the sunset, or to the nearest Ikea.
Our far-reaching vision helped us link this cutting edge technology to a high powered online reservation database with a stylish and intuitive user interface, so that both Zip Car's customers and the company itself can depend on its functionality and ease of use.
