OHO Consumer Integrated Campaign Scoops Nine Awards

Cambridge, MA – April 15, 2005 – OHO, The Digital Agency, today announced that it received nine awards for creative excellence from the New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA). The awards were presented at the NEDMA 2005 Awards Dinner at the Roxy in Boston on April 14th. This is the third year in a row that OHO has been honored by NEDMA.

OHO was awarded three gold, five silver and one bronze for its work on behalf of Synta Pharmaceuticals and PowerFiles.

Eight of the awards received were for an integrated campaign for Synta Pharmaceuticals. "OHO has always delivered creative, fresh and captivating materials for Synta," remarked Sandra Smith, director of human resources for Synta Pharmaceuticals. "I'm thrilled that OHO has been recognized for their efforts on our behalf. They have very consistent standards and I've come to have very high expectations for our recruitment and branding campaigns."

Awards for the campaign included:

  • a gold award in the Traffic Building Integrated Campaign category
  • a gold and a silver award in the Consumer Ad (lead or order generation) category
  • a gold and a silver award in the Consumer Ad (image or brand building) category
  • a silver award in the Consumer Integrated Campaign (lead or generation) category
  • a silver award in the Outdoor, Transit, Posters and Point of Purchase category
  • a bronze in the Print Ad Campaign category

Synta engaged OHO to promote a company open house aimed at increasing the company's name in the Boston biotech community and recruiting candidates for its new clinical team.

OHO created an integrated advertising campaign in the three months before the event that included: print advertsing, transit advertising, billboards, online advertising, and radio spots. To track campaign impact, OHO carefully tracked web site traffic and implemented a pre-registration micro-site on that allowed Synta to plan effectively for the event and demonstrate return-on-investment.

"Our goal was to have 100 people attend our company debut and presentation. As a result of this campaign and active networking, we had over 100 individuals pre-register and had over 200 people at the event," states Ms.Smith. "During the campaign period, we saw a uniquely high number visits to our website. Within eight weeks, visitors to the careers section of our website increased by 63% and overall site traffic increase by over 200%."

OHO also won a silver award for work it presented to PowerFiles in the tongue-in-cheek category "Great concept...but maybe next time."
