New Web Site Preserves Affordable Housing Options
Cambridge, MA – June 2005 – OHO, the Digital Agency, today announced the launch of the new Homes For Good web site (www.homesforgood.org). The Homes For Good Program promotes affordable housing and ensures that affordable properties are kept available to moderate income, first-time homebuyers.
"This site will help preserve affordable housing in Massachusetts," maintains Jason Smith, managing partner at OHO. "The Homes for Good promotes affordable properties that must be sold in a restricted timeframe. Otherwise, they lose their affordable status. This new site gives the program a cost-effective and timely way to promote properties and match eligible families."
The site allows visitors to view properties, connect with regional agencies, and check if they meet the eligibility requirements. The Homes for Good program is an initiative of the Massachusetts Nonprofit Housing Association (MNPHA).
"OHO was our top choice for this project and through their design gave a public face to our program," said Maureen Fitzgerald, Executive Director of MNPHA, "The new site exceeds our expectations. We've had a long-standing relationship with OHO and we rely on their design and technical expertise to make us look good."
This is the third project that OHO has completed for MNPHA. The first project involved creating an internal application system that allowed the nine MNPHA member agencies to access information pertaining to available housing and individual client requirements. The implementation of this centralized, user-friendly database, referred to as Cornerstone made MNPHA more effective by streamlining client intake workflow. Reporting features provide crucial proof of the agencies impact and value to the state.
OHO also designed and implemented www.masshousinginfo.org an informational public site aimed at tenants, prospective buyers, homeowners and landlords. Members of the public can browse for properties or get information ranging from tips on how to look for an apartment to how to finance purchasing a first home on the site.
To promote Homes For Good, OHO will design and implement a print marketing campaign.
