Jim Dalglish, Senior Information Architect

Jim Dalglish has been a newspaper reporter, magazine and book editor, creative director, marketing consultant, business strategist, and managing director for a regional arts facility. It was while working as an executive producer at Houghton Mifflin that Jim began to turn his business and creative talents to creating digital products and services for the then-emerging field of interactive learning.

Jim has since used his digital marketing strategy expertise to create the interfaces and information architecture for organizations ranging from Amtrak, where his overhaul of their online reservation system led to a 50% increase in bookings during its first week live, to Pearson, Merrill Lynch, Standard & Poor’s and The New York Times. Jim also has extensive experience with the heuristic evaluation and usability testing of digital interfaces: his evaluation of State Street Bank’s online securities lending service led to a 75% increase in efficiency ratings.

Jim holds a Bachelor's in English, Journalism, and Theatre Arts from the University of North Dakota, and an MA/MFA in English, Creative Writing, and Playwriting from Brown University. In his spare time Jim is an award-winning playwright who has produced numerous plays in New York, Boston, London and across the United States.
